Mark Madsen, principal of PriorityOne Advisors, brings more than 25 years of experience as an economist, entrepreneur, and city manager. He has been providing community economic development and management consulting services that include management of complex real estate development and construction projects; business management and economic analysis; entrepreneurial training and mentoring; and start-up or transitional CEO services.
Mark has taught business and economics courses at Utah State University, where he helped design a new master’s degree program in Community & Economic Development. He also taught Economic Development courses at Oklahoma State University while on a National Endowed Fellowship from the USDA. Mark holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in economics.
Mark served the City of Port Angeles, Washington as City Manager, simultaneously serving as Director of Community and Economic Development. While serving as City Manager he was the founding President of the Clallam Business Incubator in Port Angeles. Under his leadership, the City and Port Authority jointly created the Port Angeles HarborWorks Development Authority to clean up and redevelop a former pulp mill on the harbor.
